A DAY WITH THE CIRCUS

THE MONUMENT TO THE GREAT FIRE OF LONDON – EC3R
The Great Fire of London is on Key Stage 2 of the national curriculum. What better way to engage students but than a visit to the site surrounding the starting point of the fire. Every visitor will be awarded a (free) certificate to show they climbed The Monument.

PALM COURT HOTEL – Isle of Wight

ROYAL VICTORIA COUNTRY PARK – Hampshire
A unique site with a variety of different habitats. The site used to be a military hospital and the chapel remains. Queen Victoria laid the foundation stone in 1856 and Florence Nightingale had links with the hospital.  Play areas, a story trail, orienteering courses and a miniature railway.

BRISTOL BLUE GLASS
One of the very few glassmakers left in the UK. Their glass is exported all over the world. Glass blowers give demonstrations and ‘hands-on’ experience of blowing, and visitors are able to try for themselves to experience the skills required in this ancient craft. Also on site; an exceptional Museum of English glass from Roman times to the present day.
